Director's Welcome

Graduated from the National Music School by the name of Wojciech Kilar in Dzierzoniów, Poland.

A multi-instrumentalist, composer, author of many publications for children (poems, short stories, fairy-tales, and songs) as well as books for music teachers and parents.

She frequently co-operates with many leading publishing houses in Poland.

She has had over 15 years of teaching experience.

The Polish Music Centre in Peterborough started its activities in 2016. We welcome all the pupils, parents and teachers among the local communities who are interested in the musical development and education of their children.

 

What do we do?

 

  • musical & vocal tutoring,

  • development of musical sensitivity in our students,

  • education and development of our students in the artistic spirit with the stress put on the promotion of Polish music and culture,

  • active influence on local communities in the cultural field.

 

How do we do it?

 

  • organise musical tutoring at the highest level by our experienced and skilled tutors,

  • organise musical concerts (twice a year) during which our students are able to present their musical abilities and talents to a wider audience,

  • preparation for individual and group performances as well as the British ABRSM exams,

  • co-ordination of the cultural activities with various local communities.

Meet Our Team

After more than 15 years of full-time music eduction, Karolina earned her Masters Degree in Piano in C.F. Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw, Bialystok branch, majoring in Teaching and Performance. She decided to perform all over the world on various cruise ships. She has since moved on from the life of a travelling musician and in 2013 Karolina established her Piano Teaching practice in London, Stevenage and currently Peterborough.

A professional violinist, Kasia teaches the instrument closest to her heart, as well as the Piano. After graduating C.F. Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw branch in Bialystok with a Masters Degree in Music, Kasia has played the violin for many years in numerous orchestras all over Europe. The last 10 years has seen Kasia performing on cruise ships playing everything from classical to pop, rock and folk

Katarzyna Liwińska

Graduate of The I-st Degree National Music School by the name of Grazyna Bacewicz in Nowa Sol (Poland) in piano. For 4 years she has played in the Youth Brass Orchestra “Elektryk” in Nowa Sol performing in many contests and festivals home and abroad.

A journalist by profession, also graduated from The University of Zielona Gora.

For the last 2.5 years she has been working as pre-school teacher.

Graduated from the National 1-st Degre Music School by the name of I.J. Paderewski in Konin, Poland.

She began her vocal training at the age of 9 at the Konin House of Culture where she started competing in various song festivals and competitions.

Director of the 'APLAUZ' Festival in Peterborough.

She has been living and teaching in Peterborough for the last 7 years.

After the graduation from  he1st and 2nd degree musical schools in violin, Justyna graduated from the Silesian University earning her Masters Degree in Musical Art Education majoring in conducting.

Justyna works for Lincolnshire Music Service as the violin and vocal tutor, teaching primary and secondary students. She conducts over choirs and a string orchestra.

In her spare time, she sings in a female choir and plays the violin in an orchestra.

A graduate of PSM im. Fryderyk Chopin in Biala Podlaska in the accordion and piano class. A multi-instrumentalist cooperating with many musicians as a composer and music producer.

Currently, he passes his knowledge, passion and experience over to students, trying to infect them with the love of music.

Drummer by passion, teacher by education. He played nearly a hundred concerts performing his own music and playing covers. He gave percussion lessons both in educational institutions (community centers) and privately. Thanks to the easy transfer of knowledge, he has successfully taught children, youth and adults.
The classes he conducts combine work with rhythm (mainly in pop-rock spheres), techniques, the basis for notation, developing regularity and supplementing knowledge on one's own.

Earned Diploma of Education in Music theory and Classical Guitar from a Conservatory in Teplice, Czechia.

Karolina is a passionate teacher with more than 15 years of experience. She attended guitar competitions as a young student and also guitar Masterclasses with well-known guitarists. 

She is skilled at introducing classical music to her students making it fun, engaging and enjoyable.

Our IT 'handyman', he takes care of the technical side of the operations of the Polish Music Centre, web site administration and social media management.
